Dandelion Jo
on 01/14/08 12:43 PM

Name of Band: Dandelion Jo

How Did it Get Started: Liz had been auditioning people for over a year... till finally the right folks meshed. David, Dan and Liz have complimentary styles of working together and none of us take things too seriously. We are out to use our talents, make good music and have lots of fun.

Type of Music: Grassroots Americana (Traditional and Contemporary Bluegrass, Folk - Covers and Originals)

Members: Liz Jones (singer/songwriter/acoustic guitarist), Dan Doshier (fiddle, mandolin, singer/songwriter), David Hand (Double Bass, vocals)

Where did you guys meet: On the internet.

Upcoming shows: Feb 2, 7pm at Grilla Bites in Ashland, Feb 23rd, Talent Cafe, March 1st, Mount Ashland Lodge - Skiesta Festival

Albums: We are scheduled to record Feb 2 in Tom Freeman's Studio in Ashland.

Most fun we've had during a show: Playing Jacksonville Vineyards in the Applegate Valley. A beautifl venue... nice people... great wine.

Favorite Local Place to Play: Anywhere!

Other Favorite local bands: There's so much talent in this valley. Each one of us will give you a different answer. Liz likes everything from local Flamenco artist Grant Ruiz to an assortment of jazz, blues, world beat bands... Dan loves traditional country and David likes classic rock and blues.

What About You appeals to your audience: We are comfortable to listen to. We mix up our sets so you never get tired of one rhythm or one "sound." People are tickled to hear their favorite Alison Krauss songs or Beatles songs with a new twist or songs from a long time ago like the Tennessee Waltz
