I was getting some gas at the Texaco downtown (Lithia Way?) when the attendant pointed out that my front driver-side tire was lacking air. He offered to fill it up for me, and being someone who appreciates kind people, I accepted. One of his co-workers came out and filled the tire (overriding the need for my quarters!), saying something to the first guy about it being at 20 when it should be at least 28...hmm. So the first attendant comes back over and says I should go to Les Schwab immediately and get my Valve-Something-Or-Other replaced or I'd find myself with a flat tire. Okay, and THANK YOU!
Now at Les Schwab, where my brother had enjoyed a bag of free popcorn yesterday while they rotated and filled my tires for free, the guy actually remembered me being in there yesterday and then said that fixing the Valve-Whatchamacalit is FREE, and he did it immediately. Phew, and THANK YOU!
All of this is to say thank you to these people whose awareness and generosity made my day (and my car) even sweeter!
