We offer small group writing workshops in the serenity of the mountains
above Southern Oregon's Rogue Valley. Away from the demands of daily
life, participants revel in having the time and space to explore their
artistic expression, building a connection to themselves and a
community of supportive artists.

Current Offerings

Close to the Bone
Three full-day workshops for writers of
narrative nonfiction, memoir and/or personal essay. Each class includes
technique-building exercises and discussion as well as writing and
workshop time with individual and group feedback. $125 per session or
$300 for all three. (9:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

   * Sept. 5: Life moments - making the personal universal
   * Sept. 6: Be here now - creating scenes that capture the reader
   * Sept. 7: Less is more - emotions and what to do with them


Consider This...
A day-long workshop for writers interested in the form, style and craft
of review writing - one of the most published forms of nonfiction in
print and on-line. Class includes technique-building exercises and
discussion as well as writing and workshop time with individual and
group feedback.

   * Sept. 9. (9:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.) $125.

A Reality Tale
A
day-long narrative nonfiction workshop exploring the craft of writing a
true story in fiction style. Each participant will choose a "scene" in
his or her own life to narrate. Class includes technique-building
exercises and discussion as well as writing and workshop time with
individual and group feedback.

   * Sept. 10. (9:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.) $125

Queer Thursday
A
day-long intensive workshop for Queer-identified writers interested in
exploring the power of the personal essay. Class includes
technique-building exercises and discussion as well as writing and
workshop time with individual and group feedback.

   * Sept. 11. (9:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.) $125.
