MYSTIC GARDEN PARTY ADVOCATES FOR A HEALTHY CULTURE AND COMMUNITY THROUGH THE SECOND ANNUAL 4-DAY MUSIC, EDUCATION AND ARTS FESTIVAL IN ASHLAND, OREGON, July 24th-27th, 2008
The Mystic Garden Party is a musical healing arts festival that advocates for a healthy culture & community through music, arts & education. The 4-day festival will be held July 24th – 27th at Jackson Wellsprings in Ashland, Oregon. “I envision a culture filled with inspiration from healthy community education and conscious music and arts,” said Mystic Garden Party founder, Phil Lindsey.
Thousands of people are expected to attend due to the amazing musical line up, presenters, workshops, and the sense of community that they engender. The Mystic Midnight Show also remains a draw for many. While festival-goers travel far and wide to attend festivals - due to the sense of community that this festival inspires - many people consider the Mystic Garden Party to be their favorite event of the Summer.
This year’s stellar world music lineup includes Chris Berry & Michael Kang of Panjea & String Cheese Incident, Jamie Janover of Zilla, Cheb I Sabbah, Tina Malia, Shimshai, Alice DiMicele, Scott Huckabay, DJ Dragonfly, Freedom, Sasha “Butterfly” Rose, Blane Lyon, Human, Fanna~Fi~Allah, Prema Mayi, Organic Time Machine, and many others.
The Transformatioal Arts Temple dome in the Visionary Arts village will provide a meditative chill space with such artists as Roman from Tribe 13, Amoraea Dreamseed, Victoria Christian.
Adding to the inspiration at the Mystic Garden Party will be 2 geodesic domes, by Pacific Domes of Ashland, Oregon. There will also be a 40ft “Medicine Sky Lodge” for night-time music and workshops.
The newly added Eco Village will showcase sustainable solutions, especially in alternative energy, transportation, and eco-building. The Healing Village will include healers, massage therapists, and energy workers of all kinds. More than a music concert, Mystic Garden Party is a retreat gathering whose theme is “Creating Healthy Communities.”
The not-for profit Alliance for Healthy Communities 501(c)3 aims to lay the foundation for support of sustainable practices through visionary art, music, and gatherings in order to help people co-create healthy lifestyles.
