tbn0.google.com - First of all, let me say that until a few years ago, I couldn’t stand to even
look at sushi let alone eat it. It wasn’t until I met my husband Dennis that I
decided to give it a try. Now I am a Sushi fanatic, but only for excellent sushi.
Anything less I just can’t stomach. This is why I loveOh’s Osaka. Dennis and I
headed out along with Steve and Michelle (Den’s sister/husband) for a night on the town. Oh’s
is our favorite sushi bar, so we go whenever we get a chance. Along with a full sushi bar, Oh’s
also offers the Teppanyaki experience. The Teppanyaki dinners are out of this world. You can
get combos like steak, chicken and shrimp (or even scallops)! My husband orders this combo
and the scallops melt in your mouth. I prefer theterryaki shrimp combo...mmm. The portions
with these dinner s is large, with enough for lunch the next day. You can wait to sit at the
Teppanyaki tables to enjoy the “dinner show” as I call it, or you can walk to the back where the
sushi bar is, which usually has available seating. However, every time I have been here, it has
been packed! Reservations for large parties on Friday &
Saturday night is recommended.
The atmosphere of Oh’s is a double sided Samurai
sword (sorry for the pun). The Teppanyaki tables are
dimly lit and intimate, while the sushi area is bright and
includes televisions in case you get bored while waiting
for your sushi; which on a busy night, can take a while.
The only problem with Oh’s is that their service is substandard
for such an expensive restaurant. There are
never enough waiters, and sometimes getting a drink
refill is impossible. However, the quality and tastiness of
the food is second to none, and could easily compete
with the restaurants in larger metropolitan areas. Don’t
be surprised at your bill! The cost for the four of us to eat only sushi was around $85 including
drinks. If you go with theTeppanyaki and an order of your favorite sushi, the cost will be around
$145 for four people. Keep in mind this doesn’t include the tip.
Oh’s offers a variety of sushi from “California” rolls to Ebi & combos like flying fish roe and sea
urchin; along with everything in between. One of the specialties is the “Oh’s Roll”. This large
sushi roll has a yummy sauce known as “Oh’s Sauce”--which I highly recommend--along with
tuna, veggie and tempura shrimp nestled in the middle. The “Oh’s Roll” is expensive but large,
and is worth its price of $9. My husband Dennis loves Ebi Rolls and I love the spicy tiger rolls,
which come displayed with a large tempura shrimp coming out of the middle which makes a
texturally appealing sushi roll.
Oh’s is located at 35 Central Avenue in Downtown Medford and is open daily at 5pm for Dinner.

Your review is spot on--the food is so great I can put up with the substandard service---but people who aren't fans of sushi refuse to go back-- so instead they go to Shoji's (ICK---the smell alone...never go there with a good jacket unless you're ready to dry clean it) So here's to OH's! Hope to see you there soon!
Oh's IS good...but if it's Medford Sushi you're craving. I love Gen Kai next to Big Lots and Bi-Mart in the Bear Creek Plaza. PLUS that little floating boat sushi bar is just plain Cool! Makes dinner entertaining! :-)
i love oh's.. great place.. but on the spendy side. if you just want sushi in medford and don't need the "atmosphere" of oh's, check out Wasabi on Crater Lake Ave in the Cedar shopping center. this is our neighborhood sushi bar. reminds of getting sushi in smaller places in the bay area or other cities when i'm on the road. great place. Both Oh's and Wasabi are worth checking out. ;)
