Becky White and the Secret Mission will perform at 9pm on Tuesday September 23 at Stillwater located at 1951 Highway 66 (across from NAPA Auto Parts) in Ashland Oregon. There will be a $5 cover at the Door.
Becky was raised in both Berkeley, California and New York City. Her musical career began on the violin at age 5 before she took up the electric guitar at the age of 13.
Throughout her life, she has traveled to both remote areas and urban centers around the world with her guitar and a thirst to learn about foreign cultures and their music, language and various spiritual disciplines. She lived in Costa Rica for a year studying marine mammals and traveled to Bali to learn the intricate melodies of the gamelan.
Becky White is a dedicated earth activist and a life long naturalist with a degree in conservation biology. She has published 3 recordings of original material and believes in using music and art as crucial tools to facilitate planetary balance. Becky is co-founder of the Oxygen Collective, a collective of artists and activists who operate Priscilla, a tour bus that runs on 100% vegetable oil based bio-diesel. They create and produce innovative tours across the country as just one part of a larger global movement for social and earth justice. She has performed many benefit concerts towards this goal and continues to sing for peace.
