The Plot:Based on one of the biggest crimes in British history, a group ofunseasoned criminals are lured into a heist, thinking they are going torip off the safety deposit boxes of some of London's wealthiestcitizens. Instead, they are unknowing recruits on a top-secret missionto steal photos of a Royal princess who was snapped in somecompromising situations.
THE BUZZ: This movie was called Baker Street way back in its early development stage (just so all you Sherlock Holmes fans know) and also D-Notice-- the latter is shorthand for an official government request fornewspapers not to comment on select subjects for purposes of nationalsecurity (or the prevention of national embarrassment). We're alwaysprimed for more Jason Statham (Statham + Saffron Burrows = !!!), evenif, in an occurrence of art imitating life, there's precious-littlebuzz about this tale of murder, corruption, and a sex scandal with tiesto the Royal Family. Something tells us it might have gone through aserious re-edit? And we think it's super-suspicious that Transporter 3 was announced in the weeks before this movie hit U.S. screens; perhaps it's something for us to get excited about if BJ doesn't deliver ...
