Anintroduction to the theory and practice of welding processes, focusing onhands-on use of welding equipment. Students will learn basic safety, cuttingskills, bending, welding, & polishing metal using arc-welding, plasma, oxyacetylene, grinding, and other metal techniques. Each student will build theirown preset 3D sculptures of Archimedes Solids: one wire-frame, and onesolid dimensional piece. Ages 18+ no experience necessary

Studentsin this class will work through the steps of creating an original one colorimage and print that image onto textiles. Students will learn to emulsifyscreens, burn a proper image, set the printing press, curing of garment, andreclaim screens. Participants also discuss different techniques, how to set upa simple home press, as well as review products available for home andcommercial printing.
