I moved to the valley in 1982 to raise my daughter. I was a single parent, and fell in love with the town after being invited to come to Ashland and conduct a workshop that included members of the city council and downtown merchants. I got married in Lithia Park in 1990 to Lindea, on the most glorious day imaginable. My daughter graduated from the public school system in Ashland, and unquestionably received an excellent educational experience. I worked with the Ashland City Council this past year to help the councilors develop a better process for conducting the business of the city. I love this town. I travel the whole planet, and I've found no place on earth that comes even close to the unique mix of culture, people, size, amenities, and sheer beauty.

THIS ONE! The day my daughter was born. The day I married Lindea. The day my book became a bestseller. The day NASA hired me. Ah, forget it. Just too many to count!
